We worship him who is like the Sun for the lotus face of Parvati ; who has the face of an elephant ; who grants many boons to the devotees and who has a single tusk.

वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय कोटिसूर्यसमप्रभ।
निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा।
O' Gajaanana ! with a curving trunk and a large belly, you have the brightness of many (crore) Suns. O' Lord ! remove all the obstacles from all my work always.
आरब्धम् उत्तमजनाः न परित्यजन्ति ||
Good people do not give up what they have begun.
